How can we find happiness?
From 2021, over three million people in Italy have decided to leave their previous life to start a new life, as if all the inhabitants of Rome or Paris or Berlin were to decide, all of a sudden, to change jobs, to find a better life and well-being.
Ora Felice (Happy Hour) is a consequence of the times we live in, of the need to reconnect, and to rediscover a meaning of things in a world that is increasingly bewildering. Members of the audience sit at small tables: it is the opening evening of a place that represents an adventure in the world of wine of two women who have left everything, leaving their previous lives behind them. Together with them is DJ Bacco, called on to spice up the evening, a demon capable of guiding our lives through intoxication and music, or an old musician friend? Everything is ready, the wine is about to be served, but something from the past of the two women returns to disturb this life adventure. The rhythm is fast-paced, the story compelling, with misunderstandings, dramatic turns, all drenched in wine, which is the main focus of this play.
Ora Felice continues along the experimental lines of Saga Salsa and Saga Noir: working in a situation in which members of the audience are not only very close to the performers, but totally immersed in the story themselves. For Qui e Ora, this stylistic dimension is intertwined with stories and themes that address both the contemporary and the universal. While Saga Salsa and Saga Noir were centred around food, family relationships, and the meaning of life and death, Ora Felice deals with the sense of modern existence of those who have decided to leave their previous life to invent a new one.

The Black Coffee – Laura Sestini, 6 luglio 2024 – “Teatro partecipato e Convivio”

Ora felice […] is based on a true story, namely the total life change of two friends from Milan who, during the Covid 19 period that had reduced society to the ground, decide to embark on an entrepreneurial journey into the world of wine, completely overturning their way of life. […] As if by magic, the atmosphere becomes more and more relaxed, everyone feels at ease, laughing at the jokes on stage with other members of the audience near to them, toasting to the show and to life. Let the party begin.

Milano Teatri – Ivan Filannino, 2 luglio 2024

[..] The style of Qui e Ora Residenza Teatrale is always unmistakable, with its hallmark that always gains the audience’s appreciation. Their irony unfolds with words and glances, alternating on the stage and succeeding in involving the people gathered together around the tables, with a wit that never fades. A special mention should go to Antonello Cassinotti, who ably and seamlessly integrates into the already established trio. With his facial expressions and half-spoken words, he is the unpredictable element of the show, managing to put the three women against each other and delighting in watching them challenge one another with sharp, cutting remarks. […] It must be said, however, that “Ora felice” does not limit itself to talk about the classic quest for happiness The work of Qui e Ora has an impact on a crucial period in history, namely the “Great resignation”, namely that wave of employees who willingly resign from their jobs. It is a trend that began in 2021, undoubtedly influenced by the pandemic […] It speaks of the past returning, a metaphor that is expressed through love but which we all come across multiple times in life in different forms.” This show creates a lot of laughter but, just as with Saga Salsa, Qui e Ora also makes the audience dream. They dream of an escape driven by love, a new project, a new life. When the comedy has finished, there is still time to enjoy the convivial moment of a show that we can definitely imagine being performed on a hill somewhere in Valpolicella, a winery in Chianti or an estate in Salento.
